Men: Wearing tight pants and briefs can lead to impotence-problem with sperm count/fertility. (keep in mind that smoking, drinking, not having an ejaculation when aroused commonly referred to as "blue ball" can lead to low-sperm count or fertility problems). Briefs are a bit too tight and can restrict circulation in the groin area and also it can affect the normal temperature of your testicles. Boxer-brief or just plain boxer is ideal for more circulation and comfort.
Women:
Why do women wear bras? Bras are worn to give the breast an artificial lift and fullness- contours the shape of the breast. women choose to wear bras to conform to what they feel is appropriate-societal norm and also for a fashion appeal. The western world has put a great deal of emphasizes on the total shape of the body and the breast as well; contributing to major self-esteem issues among young women and men; so today under wears are worn to boost self-confidence.
Other reasons women wear bras: The need to support the breasts.
According to Wise Geek facts "many medical professionals do suggest that patients wear some kind of binder at night after breast surgery. This can help protect the breasts from injury during the healing process, and also add support. While women who have undergone surgery may be required to sleep in a bra, others just prefer it for modesty's sake. For instance, women who live with other people or who are likely to be woken up in the middle of the night may like the extra coverage and support that a bra brings. It may also make them feel more comfortable when talking to others unexpectedly at night, such as in the case of emergency.
Women who choose not to sleep in a bra at night often point out that there is no evidence that wearing this garment to bed can prevent the breasts from sagging. Instead, it often just makes women uncomfortable. In fact, many women don't wear the right size bras, and sleeping in one that is too tight may lead to discomfort and serious medical issues. Breastfeeding women may find that wearing a bra to bed not only hinders milk production, but can also result in plugged milk ducts. This can often be avoided by skipping bras at bedtime, though finding a sleep bra that fits well may also solve the problem".

- Because i feel immoral or indecent without bras.
- Every woman must wear a bra, or why wouldn't you wear a bra?
- Wearing a bra is a dress code at my job.
- Because I hate the thought of my breasts sagging and other people thinking i was a promiscuous girl.
- The sweat under my breast and slapping is uncomfortable.
- I want the world around me to think my breast is really big-larger than it really is.
- I need a supportive bra while exercising or doing a sport activity.
- I need to wear a nursing bra because i am breastfeeding, and finally i feel uncomfortable in the public without a bra etc. What ever your reason is, the choice to wear or not to wear a bra is yours. Bras lift the appearance of a woman's breast by adding contour and more firmness for her breast. Wearing bra is fine if you wear a good fitting bra and give your breast some free time but it's not a must to wear a bra. Some Bras are healthy and some are unhealthy; Bras that are tight and have an under wire or metal is unhealthy because it constricts normal functioning of the lymphatic system- {circulation in the tissue and around the breast). when you wear under-wire bras or tight bra to bed, it will cause chest pain and red pressure mark because of the pressure caused by the tightness and the metal wires of the bra; also wearing under-wire bras to bed could lead to Anoxia (less than normal oxygen in the tissue of your body ) and this has been linked to fibrosis (formation of scar tissues due to injury or long-term inflammation).
- Under-wire Bras has been linked to increased risk of breast cancer. A recent study finds that "women who wore their bras 24 hours per day had a 3 out of 4 chance of developing breast cancer.Women who wore bras more than 12 hour per day, but not to bed, had a 1 out of 7 risk.Women who wore their bras less than 12 hours per day had a 1 out of 52 risk.Women who wore bras rarely or never, had a 1 out of 168 chance of getting breast cancer.
- The overall difference between 24 hour wearing and not at all was a 125-fold difference. The results of this study are compelling, even considering that it was not a "controlled study" for other risk factors. The risk factors for breast cancer are mostly in the range of less than three-fold differences.women of higher economic status who wear their bras much longer have higher breast cancer risk rate".

Here is an alternative for a change
- Wearing camisoles is an alternative, usually with a shelf bra.
- Switching to a soft cup bra can help improve circulation.
- Avoid wearing your bra more than 12 hours a day.
- It's good habit to massage the lymph glands under your armpits 1-2 times per week.
- Try going bra-less whenever you can afford to-like not wearing bras at home, when sleeping etc (Go ahead and free buff, it's relaxing, sexy & healthy).
- You don't have to get implants or injects for a firm breast in order to avoid the need for bras because regular bust/chest exercise helps firm the breast.
- Proper posture will help to strengthen the muscles around your breast.
- Sleep on your back without confining and compressing the breasts
- Tops or shirts with pockets or built in bra pocket over both breast with extra fabric layer is another alternative and will help to conceal the nipple from popping out.
- Nu Bra (adhesive cup usually placed over the breast) helps to keep the nipple from showing through the cloth
Cotton/Lycra bra tops are supportive and shaping as well. - Under wire bra may be comfortable for you but it makes sense to alternate/switch to other healthier options for optimal breast health.
- If you already own under-wire bras, you can either get rid of them and buy an alternative or you wear it less longer and make sure is not tight- enough space (if you can fit 3 fingers underneath your bra when you have it on, then is loose if not it's too tight, not healthy for you).
- ZeeBraz - this is a bra developed to allow a woman the freedom to breathe and move, allowing the breasts support in their natural position without being constricted.
- Bandeau bra is comfortable without any straps to dig into the shoulders. This is a favorite for sleeveless clothing.
- An under vest to wear over a blouse will help hide breast outline and movement as well.
COMPLETELY AVOID WEARING OVERLY TIGHT UNDER-WIRE BRAS, DON'T GIVE INTO BRA FASHION WITHOUT CONSIDERING YOUR HEALTH- Breast cancer is real, you can do something to reduce or prevent it. |
- Under pants: Avoid wearing tight clothing/under pants because it restricts circulation and can cause vaginal infection, the same applies for very tight pants.
- Nylon and Spandex is not a good choice for an under pant because it can increase flora and encourage bacteria growth and yeast infection.
- Cotton under pants are best and healthy.
- If you are losing your breath while trying on a pair of pants, it's too tight and if your under pant barely hangs to your buttocks- is definitely not the right/good fit for your body.
