Nontoxic tips to help defend you against the toxic



Like a raisin in the sun, Raisins are a good alternative candy to artificial sugar filled candies.
Like a raisin in the sun, so is the beauty you seek. A handful of sun dried raisins by sun maids provides you a sugar free sweet treat to help you curb sweet tooth cravings and plus get quick bust of energy.
It is good source of vitamin C. if you have low energy from mood swings or if you're diabetic this will be a beneficial treat to keep with you. If have a pet like a dog, rabbit or gerbil raisins will serve you good because they love to chew a little raisins.


  1. Riding a bicycle , dancing, listening to music or taking a walk with your dog everyday helps increase serotonin in your brain therefore helping you reduce stress while having fun.
  2. Clean filtered water with lemons will help boost your metabolism a notch....it will increase your energy and clarity....."we are 90% water; Zen filtered water provides hydration that helps break down food as well as regulate glands that control our vitality. And without energy we cannot do work". Like the saying....."Let thy food be medicine and they medicine be thy food". If you wish for an anti-inflammatory solution or immune booster, try drinking some home made lemon tea sweetened with honey. Aloe vera drink is also great, and you can use this same aloe vera gel as a sun screen and moisturizer to protect your skin.

"In research studies, diet has been linked with cancer; and in real life stories. In the middle Ages, it was commonly believed that yeast preparations could prevent cancer. In the 1500s, it was recommended that cancer patient eat raw cucumber, cooked pumpkin and avoid grilled, fried meat, fish in jelly and raw eggs. But in the 1980s, researchers began to look closely at the possible link between diet and cancer. Studies were conducted which showed that factors like poor diet, tobacco, infections, heavy or pharmaceutical drugs, industrial toxicants, food additives can significantly increase risk for cancer. Diet may significantly influence 30-40% of all cancers in men and 60% in women.

  • Cancer cells are the result of multiple genetic defects resulting from exposure to infections, environmental agents and dietary constituents. It takes a number of chain reactions in the body for a cell to become cancerous.
  • Frequent use of roasted, smoked and salty food, consumption of food containing mutagenic or carcinogenic agent like lead soldering contaminants found in some canned food.
  • Things formed during food processing like fatty acid hydroperoxides, nitrosamides, nitrosamines, PAHs
  • Environmental mutagenic or carcinogenic substance found in water, food, and house hold products such as arsenic, dioxin, DDT, PCBs, radiation, usage of organ toxicant ingredient found in cosmetic and hygiene products can increase the risk for cancer.


Once cancer is initiated in the cells, the natural cell repair system in our body will repair the damage until its defense fails to be effective. This Anti-initiation substance are mostly enzymes already present in the body. These enzymes are biocatalysts that are able to transform carcinogenic substances into a water-soluble form and eliminate them from the body before it has a chance to cause harm. But when this defense system fails to be effective, the cancer cells begins to divide and it may take years or a few--certain period of time to blossom into a progressive cancerous stage. So to prevent or stop the initiation or progression, many alternative and conventional health system encourage the implementation of chemo-preventers found in our nutrition. It is recommended we eat vitamin A, B-carotene, vitamin C, Vitamin E, selenium, edible legumes, whole grain mussel cereals, nuts, seeds and calcium rich whole food, herbs and supplements. Cancer can be prevented by the administration of one or more consistent chemical found in nutrient rich diet and in prescribed alternative treatment to help control or detoxify the body.

Eating Allium vegetables like onions, garlic and leeks can help reduce risk for stomach cancer because it contains organosulfur compounds that has anti-mutagenic and anti-carcinogenic properties. "The result of a large cohort study  on diet and cancer performed in Netherlands studied the association between onion and leek consumption, garlic supplement use and the incidence of stomach carcinoma. These data reveals a strong inverse correlation between onion consumption and carcinoma in all parts of the stomach, except in the Cardia. Garlic was shown to promote inhibition of nitrite-reducing bacteria and in nitrite formation, and was suggested as a protective factor against gastric cancer.  Another study conducted in China showed that, with the introduction of 10g of fresh garlic (in homogenate form), the rate of reduction (90%) of nitrite concentration in gastric juices was significantly higher than in controls. Epidemiological studies done in China have shown that garlic components, especially allicin (allyl 2-propenethiosulfinate), inhibit the growth of transplantable tumors and reduce the incidence of certain spontaneously occurring tumors. In a dose-effect study where the in vitro cytotoxic effects of fresh garlic extract and diallyltrisulfide on two human gastric center cell lines was investigated, fresh garlic and diallyl trisulfide (allicin analog) were found to be more potent than 5-fluoruracil or mitomycin C in killing cancer cells. Components of garlic have also been found to inhibit the activity of diverse chemical carcinogens during early initiation and progressive stages".  sourced from Introduction to toxicology and food, pages 105-124.Tomris Altug
  • Eating some kind of super fruit like pineapples or salad with red bell pepper can help you maintain youthful glow. Pineapple has antioxidant that will reduce free radicals in the body that could promote an inflammation or damage environment within cells, it can help boost your youthful energy and plus keep you hydrated. Your diet is the number one, if not the most important factor for fighting cancer in your daily. Alkaline and unprocessed food free of GMO grains is also great choice. Avoiding frequent consumption of meat, cheese, alcohol, roasted, smoked canned or salted products and avoid drinks, snacks including bubble gums or hygiene products containing mutagenic or carcinogenic agents.  Sometimes I break the rule---I eat a little junk but most time i usually use this rule of thumb when choosing my food, drink and snacks......if it doesn't sound like something you would put on your skin....don't even bother eating it, look it up before you swallow it.
