While I salute your aversion to toxics, you've got the efficacy of alcohol on viruses all wrong.

You say "Alcohol based hand sanitizer are poor at killing virus, it removes 46% of Virus while water removes 96% of virus and liquid bacterial soap removes 88%." These numbers are completely wrong.

You can read a monograph of all antimicrobials (alcohols and other chemicals)-by specifics like flu and HIV on a monograph from the CDC.*

I'm researching this right now for eyecare and alcohols are very effective against virus-even better than soaps. It's the additives that are spooky.

Any sanitizer must be minimum 60% alcohol to do anything other than spread germs around. Lower concentrations are often contaminated right in the bottle.

Now keep in mind, i did not say alcohol do not work as a hand sanitizer but alcohol isn't that great for killing Viruses.
According to Dr Sanjay Gupta from CNN News, Alcohol based hand sanitizer in essence makes your hands very inhospitable to viruses. when put on your hands viruses simply don't want to cling to it. So it does reduce the amount of virus that can cling to your hand but it does not kill it. Raw AloeVera gel from Aloevera Plant gives a much more positive result than alcohol for killing virus.
