The story of a Pink-Ribbon beauty Consultant.

Get this book
The reason i wrote this:- i was once a consultant of a popular brand pink-ribbon cosmetics. The Ribbon is every where, selling Pink-ribbon carcinogenic products while advertising anti-cancer campaign "Breast Cancer Awareness". When really if they were informed and noble, the most positive thing to do will be to discontinue the product that contain ingredient that are known to cause harm to consumer's or manufacture nontoxic alternatives- This is an experience and facts so keep your mind open and read on...

I was introduced to Marykay by a nice young lady who is a Top selling Marykay business owner. It was a learning and fun experience,  i like the fact that they provide option for independence and income-- A community with a business interest at hand. It is a company that is beneficial to immigrant and single parent- it gives women confidence.
Well i was looking for a personal hygiene line that can heal my acne and scar face at the time, so i sought help with Clinque didn't work so i decided to try Mary Kay. I went to Marykay and at first impression the Marykay world i liked it so pink and poised outfit; i was excited at the conference and i admired the beautiful bottles plus having the tool at the time to help make some living through a cosmetics that has a Breast cancer awareness ribbon next to their name so i dived in after the conference. I got everything i needed to start the business but somewhere along the line something changed after reflecting on my purpose, i realized i was in the wrong business-"the business of selling and sharing cosmetic that are toxic". My skin wasn't really healing and it felt as though my skin is suffocating like a film, you know like when wearing a foundation- it masked my natural glow and i didn't like that so i tapped into the raw skin secret i found in my kitchen because it naturally enhanced my skin without stripping or adding extra chemical additives/preservatives. After a few week i found a very reliable place to shop for organic skincare and since then i have been using healthy skincare products- then it inspired "nontoxic" Lifestyle so i began wanting to know what the ingredients were; after seeing some videos on toxins in personal hygiene and the things i found got me angry but at the same time i remained open and curious to find out why and what is done to call an attention to these ingredient- that was how i found Skin Deep, MSDS sheet- the place to look up cosmetics ingredients.
Been a proactive Vegetarian/Nutritarian Vegan, i wanted to explore other aspect of living healthy-so comes Nontoxic Lifestyle.
So i called my sponsor i said what am about to say can be good or bad depending on how you look at it. She said am all ears, am listening, tell me so i said well i can't sell this because i don't like been directly responsible for sharing and selling these products, clearly knowing it contains carcinogenic ingredient- when i did not know about toxic ingredients it was okay but now i know i like to make a change. At the time i didn't want to disappoint her so i told her i give it some time so i dug deeper into more facts and concerns related to the ingredients i was curious about. I decided to make a change so i threw away my remaining toxic cosmetics, personal care and hygiene products- it felt bad & good doing this at the time because i didn't think finding an alternative was easy or available but today am glad i made the choice to switch up to organic/vegan/nontoxic products -even if it's by maryKay as long as is pure---"just an idea". Because i understand the harm these cosmetics can do to the body while masking itself as "good", hmm I found the green snake under the green grass-the toxic ingredient these companies do not reveal or are themselves aware of".
So that is part of how i began "Nontoxic routine for me"-cos i have to change me to change the world- but i was anxious to share my finding with you. Well that was a brief story of my Internal experience with MaryKay- it had its glitter but i was hungry for something with untarnished benefits which brings me to the my main reason for blurbing "Pink-Ribbon Cosmetics" campaign companies are in position of influence in almost every city and international like in Africa;  they are positioned as leaders that help women, men and as promoter's of the breast cancer awareness but at the same time they are selling carcinogenic products to the ill-informed consumer. Okay am not saying all MaryKay product is toxic and i know no one is born perfect or always right but when there's an evidence to the truth found in your product line that many people who do not know are wearing right as i write the next line- Please make a change, stop Misleading consumers- let your consumer know what they are getting for the price they are paying. One in 10 cases of breast cancer are linked to family history but the increasing number of harmful chemicals has really gone overboard especially with the cosmetics ingredient stuff and we you can see the result- skyrocketing cancer patient, more harmful chemical residue found in breast and skin tissues linked to health problems.

Hint: Isobutane, Ethylene, 1,4 Dioxanne is a human/mammary carcinogen.
Polyaromatic hydrocarbons from petroleum are endocrine disruptor and carcinogens.
Some sunscreen mimic estrogen by increasing the risk for breast cancer, this is why am not a fan of synthetic sunscreen- they raise a "red flag".

The overwhelming part is that they are so popular; Avon, Clinque, Estee lauder, MAC, Marykay- i have used it myself in the past- Now i have made a switch to totally "Nontoxic/vegan/organic skincare and beauty product". I would like to see companies proactively remove harmful chemical ingredients like parabens/methyl-parabens, pthalates, fragrance, Nonylphenols, Isobutane, harmful sunscreen chemicals, Ethoxylated compounds, metals, petroleum, Toulene, Triclosan, lauryl sulfates and others that are linked to neuro and immunotoxicity, carcinogenic, birth defects, learning disabilities, respiratory problems like Asthma, bronchitis etc found in their product or manufacture an organic/alternative-- toss the Toxic Junk-you wouldn't like your loved one's wearing these chemicals so why not say good bye to harmful ingredients.

Say goodbye to Toxic Beauty-Cosmetics- GO Organic "NONTOXIC"
Green people cosmetic is also nontoxic for UK residents.
