I was out shopping for gardening soil and planting pot when i came across an effective and safe insectide called Hot shot that will repel and kill those nasty bugs hiding in your cupboard waiting for the lights to go out just to crawl all over your kitchen utensils and left overs.
Hot shot Natural Ant and Roach Killer containing lemongrass oil, water, Isopropyl Alcohol, carbon dioxide, Mineral oil, sodium Benzoate, polyglycerol Oleate, Wintergreen oil is a natural insectide made to kill ants, American and German Cockroaches, centipedes, Crickets, earwigs, millipedes, pillbugs, scorpions, spiders (posionous and non posionous, including black widows), ticks, silverfish, firebrats, waterbugs and fleas.

These two products i have tried are effective and does have mild herbal scent of lemongrass oil..........smells okay. You can find these two products at Lowe's Local store.
