Living a Nontoxic Lifestyle inherently doesn't include promoting toxic products thus forcing us to find any and all nontoxic products.

But two days ago i ran into a not so toxic product called "Dove Beauty Bar Soap with Moisturizing Lotion for Sensitive Skin"

It is not 100% nontoxic but it is not a carcinogenic soap either but it does contain certain things that are called immuno-toxic ingredients such as Sodium Lauroyl Isethionate, Stearic Acid, Sodium Tallowate or Sodium Palmitate, Lauric Acid, Sodium Isethionate, Water, Sodium Stearate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Cocoate or Sodium Palm Kernelate, Fragrance, Sodium Chloride, Tetrasodium EDTA, Tetrasodium Etidronate, Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891). It helps even out skin tone especially for those who have blemishes, dry or psoriasis of the skin but like i said it is not nontoxic but it is milder than most M.Kay products i have tried in the past. it works great for toning and blending away  blemishes or dark stuff in your pores.--ugly toned skin, deep cleansing and also adding moisture and softness to your skin, therefore preventing psoriasis (overly dry skin). Someone recommended it to me at Wal-Mart and somehow opened my eye to a new horizon but I still was not excited about the fact that it does contain some immuno-toxic ingredients but I said okay, I will give a try although i was skeptical, i tried it and it seems fine for my skin but except it has a highly pungent smell. This particular Dove soap is excellent at what it does for the skin, i must say this is a conventional good and much milder and less toxic than some Mary Kay products i have ever tried----so i think if i were to try a conventional skin care product i would go with dove (essential i am saying i do like this particular dove product although it isn't 100% nontoxic). Another one i like for blemishes is ultra glow soap--it works
However, I like to set a new paradigm with nontoxic for myself and the younger generations yet to come, so am focusing on the integrative aspect between the conventional and organic products to create and provide effective solutions. But inherently, I am writing this article to help you find more suitable skincare products and to inform you that i am discovering some companies are misusing the "nature/botanical" labeling. It’s very sad and disturbing to see some skincare companies advertise a product that is not botanical as though it is truly natural/botanical just because it contains minute amounts of one or two botanical ingredients.
And it is even more unfair that some skin care products have no product ingredient label for consumers to check to see if it is truly botanical and suitable for their skin and lifestyle. Don't get me wrong i have no wrongs against companies selling their conventional toxic products although i wouldn't recommend it, but i feel it is fair to ask that they show the ingredients so the consumer can be better informed about the products they are looking at whether organic or Not (conventional), thereby giving them the chance to better themselves with healthier products.
At least considering the fact that our environment tries incredibly hard to pull moisture from our skin; In fact, the skin expends 186,000 calories per day to do just that, so it is not unreasonable to ask that the personal and hygiene/skin care companies provides consumers an ingredient label to help them avoid those ingredient that aren’t suitable. Healthy, well-nourished skin is less likely to react to cold temperatures and everyday irritants such as the wind and particles blown along your skin, germs from hands or clothing, pollution, sun ray.
You can protect yourself from these environmental factors that prove to be harsh on the skin by choosing appropriate clothing and sun hats for the weather when outdoors or by choosing a moisturizer with SPF and vitamins to protect you against causal sun exposure but if we don’t have ingredient label or have any information about products we consistently put on our skin we could unconsciously be putting more harsh ingredients that could cause more dryness or other more serious problems like skin cancer but if we have the information we need, we can choose our personal hygiene and beauty products wisely thereby reducing our risk for skin problems like psoriasis, skin cancer etc.
Yes it is true that the skin has its own protective mechanism and oils but as it ages, it becomes less efficient; the amount of naturally occurring moisture and skin’s ability to retain this moisture are diminished therefore it is beneficial to know the ingredients content and choose a moisturizer that evens skin tone and texture, smoothes the appearance of marks and discoloration and alleviates dryness. Every skin type relies on moisture for glow and youth, so to even the skin tone and texture, choose a deep conditioning moisturizer containing vitamin E, aloe Vera etc; this will help smooth away the appearance of marks and discolorations and help you achieve the radiance you desire. It is also smart you replenish and nourish your skin directly by eating more fruits and vegetables because when the body runs low on vitamins/nutrients it sacrifices your skin to support other organs and tissues. You can supplement the skin surface with a vitamin packed cream to help provide more protection without harmful ingredients plaguing your skin.
Finally, take a deeper look into the purity & effectiveness and not be overly focused on the aesthetics of the product we put on our skin for the sake of your health & Longevity.
