Dental Health

Dental health is more than just brushing your teeth, flossing and seeing your dentist regularly. choosing a toxic free dental product is also a part of it. There are different types of toothbrushes, some have detachable heads that allows you to change the head before it goes on your teeth, some have 3 lined brush and round rotating head- to get around the teeth, some are softer/thinner and some are made a bit thicker. However, the toothpaste you put on is less straightforward than your brush. Toothpaste that frequently contain a number of cleansing agents, sweeteners, and other chemicals such as sodium lauryl and laureth sulfates, detergents that can irritate your tongue and gum's; parabens preservatives, which are known to be carcinogenic and other synthetics such as artificial colors and flavors  (can cause the development of breast cancer).
Picking an alternative toxic free toothpaste is not the most convenient thing to do but it's worth the effort considering the benefits you get and the harm you save yourself.  keep in mind that every products that claims to be natural, fluoride free and has American Dental association seal of approval is not always the safest . It's best to you learn what ingredients are toxic and avoid them or easier you can type in your toothpaste name into safe cosmetics (http://www.safecosmetics.org/) to figure out the toxicity level of your product. Also you look for safe alternative toothpaste online to easily access the ingredient in it.

For example,Toothpaste for Sensitive Teeth
Now Xyliwhite Toothpaste Gel,you can find fluoride free toothpaste here at iHerb. it cost 4.99 plus tax. it contains water, xylitol (25%), hydrates silica, sodium bicarbonate, glycerin, sorbitol, papain, tea tree (Melaleuca alternifolia) leaf oil, natural mint flavor, carageenan, cocamidopropyl betaine, sodium carbonate, potassium sorbate.
It's gluten free and fluoride free.

The Xyliwhite advantages

Floss- once daily flossing is essential to preventing gum disease. some floss contain forms of perfluorochemicals (PFC's) which is linked to enhanced tumor growth and cancer. Use a more natural toxic free floss varieties, containing vegetable waxes, pure essential oil for flavoring and do not contain PFC's, . Most flosses are made of petroleum-derived nylon, the better choices avoid petroleum-based paraffin wax in favor of nontoxic beeswax, carnauba wax or jojoba wax.

Your mouth wash gaggle product
Some may say you don't drink or swallow your mouth wash product so why worry yourself about the ingredients however contrary to your assumption.
Your mouth is full of highly absorbent mucous membranes, which readily absorb chemicals. Secondly, what you spit out into the sink after you gaggle may potentially contaminate land water. Avoid mouth wash that contain sulfates, coal-tar colors, common colorants FD&C Blue 1, Green 3, yellow 5, and yellow 6 because they have a potential hazard to human health. for those of you who choose tooth/mouth product by taste and color, while a pretty blue or green mouthwash may look healthier and more appealing than the yellow one, don't be swayed by pretty packaging; instead look for ingredients, and choose mouthwashes free of artificial colors & sweeteners, carcinogenics.
