Cuticle Care tip

The cuticle is the protective layer of skin between the outside part and the matrix of the nail, when you care for your cuticle- you preserve the health of your nails.
The nail is a protective covering composed of dead cells filled with a protein called Keratin.
The part of nail you see is Lunula and it is dead, underneath the nail surface is a life tissue. Nails grow out from underneath the matrix, as new cells are built old dead cells are pushed forward and that is the nail you trim and file. Repetitive pressure or strain on the nail can cause breakage and splits.
Eating a balanced and nutrient filled diet (fresh fruits, vegetables and whole grains) will help improve your nails, hair, skin, health generally. Calcium and fluoride do not build nails, the nail is made of keratin, proteins build nail.

Cuticle Care: The best way to keep your nails healthy while avoiding nail problems will be to push back little cuticles every now and then with a soft bamboo cuticle pusher-Do not over do this. The cuticle is what protects your nails from infections or foreign invaders from getting into the inner matrix of your nail. (Source-healthy nails).
Trimming too much nails and cuticle can cause weak, brittle, ridge dented, peeling, unevenly growing nails? This problem may take time to heal anywhere from 3months to a year if healthy conditions are encouraged like eating balanced diet, eliminating toxins and taking additional supplement.

Avoid metal cuticle tools that appear too harsh because it can cause damage to nails, use it carefully and occasionally. The less you manipulate and cut your cuticle the better off your nails will be. Avoid cutting or trimming of the cuticle. Leave the cuticle alone, do not trim nail too short that hurts the nail bed. Over filling can tear nails and cause severe nail problems.
Push back the cuticles a little using a bamboo manicure stick, do not pull, lift, cut, tear or forcefully rip cuticle. Apply garlic cuticle oil, almond oil, jojoba oil, aloe vera, Jason fortifying nail saver.
Soft nails are more prone to damage and tears, so never file your nails while wet. Dry nails before filling, use gentle file and pressure to shape nails. Some advice that you file your nail in one direction this is not as important as filling gently, you can file in crossed direction so longs as you use gentle filing strokes. Don’t file too close to the nail bed. Keep it simple and neat.

Expensive nail treatment or polish doesn’t equal to a good looking and healthy nails so beware of nail salon price scam. Some nail products promise great things by adding protein, calcium, amino acid to help nails grow faster this is not the case, The nail are dead, all the protein and amino acids applied in your nail polish won’t make a big difference when you don't get a proper nutrition and especially if you use products that contain some toxic ingredients like formaldehyde. Formaldehyde toughens the nail but at the same turn causing damage to nails.

Natural is beautiful in its own way- its human been natural. Avoid keeping nail polish in cold area to avoid condensation, exposure to cold air-thickens and dries it. Keep it airtight or it will condense and harden with exposure to air like how it dries on your nails.
